Problems logging in
If you have any problems logging in on the homepage (e.g. the site doesn't seem to recognise your login details) go to the Login page. You can get to it also by clicking the 'Forgotten password' link.
On the Login page you have the opportunity to view a password hint if you gave one. Alternatively you may want to get your password emailed to you.
If you have been cutting and pasting your details do make sure that you are not including any spaces before or after either the email address or password. It's also worth thinking for a moment whether you may have used a different email address when you signed up.
If you get an error page or the site just hangs after attempting to log in try clearing the cookies and history from your browser, closing down and starting again.
IE10 / Windows 8
There was a problem with the original version of IE10 on Windows 8, with a lot of people having difficulties logging in to websites, not just Walkingworld.
The problem appears to be something to do with Compatibility View. If that's turned on then website logins seem to work. You can turn it on for Walkingworld by clicking the little torn page icon in the menu bar or you can add Walkingworld to the sites using Compatibility View.
Tools>Compatibility view settings>add walkingworld.com
Upgraded versions of IE10 appear to be fine, so it may be worth checking that you have the latest version.
Other issues
While this version of the site is new it is best to go direct to the homepage and not via a previously saved favourite or bookmark, or via a Google search, for instance. If in doubt type 'www.walkingworld.com' (and nothing else) into the address bar of your browser.
Note that the password on the homepage is case-sensitive, so it may be an idea to try a few variations of upper and lower case letters that you may have used. If in doubt have the password emailed to you.
Still can't get it work?
